> -->> Pup Development
Birth: when the pups are born, they are completly helpless. They are blind, deaf and are not able to maintain the necessary body temperature. When born, they need to be guided to the food source by the mother, and then, they instinctively know what to do. They are very light (0.5 kilograms or one pound). All pups eyes are blue at birth.
2 Months: The little pups are now have opened their eyes, can hear better, and can walk on all four legs. They stay in the dens with their pack, or with the caretaker if no one else is around. If the caretaker is needed by the pack, for a war or something else, then it is common for them to be watched by an auxiliary.
4 Months: The pups are allowed to go with the tutor to a special, approved, cleared area where they can play and wander around. This is usually to get them out of the dens, and wander around so they can learn their surrondings and some things about nature. Their eye color changes to their natural color at this time. Their hearing also excells to be the best it will be at this age.
6 Months: The pups can still go with the caretaker to the special area to play, or they can go with the caretaker or an older member in the pack to learn to hunt, but it is usually the caretaker. They are now almost fully grown.
8 Months: The pups are now old enough to hunt with the pack frequently. When they don't go, they can go with the caretaker to the cleared, approved area and play. Or, when they are at the dens, they will test the patinece of older wolves by nipping at them or pouncing on them. Even if none of that can be done, they spend time together chasing and wresting with each other.
10 Months: The pups are now able to move up in rank from auxiliary to another rank decided by the Alpha. They can now go hunting alone, and are old enough to be treated as a young adult, and not so much as a pup. Now they are almost done growing and have reached their full height.
24 Months: The pups are now no longer pups but fully fledged adults and are settled into their ranks, it it now they are truly seen as adult as it is now that they become able to breed.
